So last summer (Matthew was 2) we drove down to Newport Beach for a week reunion with the Johnson family. Troy always makes us a family driving cd for each trip...so this one had Delilah on it and it became what we all know as "Matthew's song"...or to him "my song". This was one day he and Andrew were listening to it on the computer. I caught them both belting it out, singing along. Quite funny.
GOT CORN?
So the funniest part of this is not that Matthew has figured out what a whoopie cushion is, but if you listen closely at the end, he asks "is there corn?" The story is that as all good dads do, Troy has often excitedly explained to Matthew that when he eats his corn that he'll get to see it in his poop. So Matthew many times when he knows you've taken care of "that" business will ask you if there was corn!! Well, his questioning carried over to the whoopie cushion. Aren't we so proud!
