What an action shot...great photography by the camera mom!! Notice the rolled up pants! They should make pants in smaller sizes...he is set with baseball pants for the next 4 years!
Let the instruction begin...pointing to first base...where you run after hitting the ball...most of the kids hit the ball, then run really fast...but just not to first base, they run after the ball they just hit, wanting to get to it and pick it up before anyone else. It is quite funny to watch.
Great arm Matthew!!
Matthew's friend from our ward, Dallin Hazelhoffer. Dallin's parents are good friends of ours and Troy and Mike (Dallin's dad) coach the big guys baseball team together. So finally the two little ones get dad's to themselves.
Ready stance...wow...who's kid is that?

Hair Do's
So just the past week I have been enjoying playing around with Kamdyn's hair. Not sure what exactly has occurred but her hair will now all of a sudden hold clips and rubber bands...so the fun has begun. Troy I know just can't wait to see what new thing I have tried. He is always great to tell her how pretty she looks.
Check out her top two teeth...for all those we saw this summer these two things were her work in progress. We left Lodi on June 26th with no top teeth at all...and returned to Lodi on July 14th ish and she now has two top teeth that are both coming in at the same rate...not sure how that happens either as one broke through days before the other...it was kind and let the second, slower tooth catch up. So we have top front teeth...helping in her favorite activity...eating!

Rocket Derby
So we now have 3 scouts...so that means Troy enjoys helping make 3 of all derby entries. This round it was rockets.
Triston's was red and white. Andrew's green and orange camo and Joshua's was yellow and black bumblebee. The boys three rockets didn't do so grand this year. Don't really know why, but just was not in the cards for the Schiess boys to be in the top three this year. But we sure did have a great time attempting to blast off that sharp lookin rockets they made!
Matthew has to join in the fun. He had a blast running around watching the rockets shoot across the gym!

Lessons from Sam...
Need we say more??? We love Sam and his distinguished "lamb chops" or whatever else he's got going on. So Troy hasn't shaved, simply because he and I were at a stand still of him not shaving or cutting his hair until I got my hair cut. So yesterday I spent two hours at the salon getting primped and beautiful, texted him on the way home that it was his turn, got home and cut his hair. So today he decided to begin the shaving process...he went through 3 different styles of side burns...was quite comical and entertaining. So he's left just a gotee for today and will shave tomorrow morning for church...and then BACK TO WORK on Monday. We are feeling sad about that. Will be very lonely here without him. We are certainly blessed to love our daddy so very much.

Good bye Teeth
Today, July 18, 2008 Andrew had oral surgery. He had two upper cuspids extracted as well as the two bottom wisdom teeth taken out...the little tooth is a baby tooth that was simply "popped off". All 4 of the extractions were impacted and one of the cuspids was located all the up below the eye socket/cheek bone/nose...pretty much wiped him out and made him feel more than crummy. He is recovering as he should and is quite the trooper. He asked to wait to place the teeth under his pillow for the tooth fairy until he felt better, maybe tomorrow night!!

Schiess Family Reuuion - Bear Lake to Springville, Utah
The Schiess family reunion consisted of time spent in Bear Lake, Provo, Orem, American Fork and Springville...so quite a large distance was covered and fun wherever we all were. Every family took a night for cooking and hosted dinner at their homes. It was so nice to spend time in everyone's homes and around things and places they enjoy doing. We played at parks, guys and kids played football, played at Jump on It...a large local establishment with huge trampolines all side by side, where the kids and adults could jump endlessly. We saw movies and played guitar hero, talked, laughed and hung out together. At Bear Lake we rode ATV's and played at the lake's beach. We all ate great food as well.
