Fishing on Oceanside Pier

"Dirt Trails"

Grandpa and Grandma Johnson live in a boy's paradise...right next to a small area with trails, trees and dirt! They spent so much time over here in this dirt pile, which was made by 'erosion' (a word they all know well the meaning of, now)...they hiked in with their hiking sticks, and would dig for 'crystals'...they also found out they could climb up the eroded sides of this moutain...all 4 of them were very successful in conquering these climbs and mining for their crystals.

Troy and Me at the beach!!

Sending UNCLE Scott to Italy!!

Scott got each of the boys a "ARMY" hat. He had a game created for them to choose which one they each got!

Seeing Scottie for the first time in close to 9 months. He was sooooo very missed!!

This was the greatest thing...we pulled in the Wendy's to meet up with Scott and saw this car! We of course had to park right next to it. Was a funny family moment...I obviously cannot recreate in this moment.
We got to spend Scott's last few days with him before he headed to Italy! We all had such a great time, but especially the boys. They all love Uncle Scott so much. Granted who could ask for a better Uncle!

Bike Rides

We can now take a full family bike ride. Matthew has learned to ride his two wheeler "big boy bike". Just today he started and stopped all by himself...but occassionally still needed help to get going. Here is some of his learning experience...he has the best teacher so of course success was no question at all. He's great at it. Not yet 3 1/2!!! Go Matthew.

Matthew MICHAEL Schiess

So the other night at dinner the kids and I are sitting talking and somehow we got on the topic of names. So I said to Matthew you are Matthew Michael Schiess...he says "ya, Matthew Michael Phelps!!" Then proceeded to tell us about swimming with "huge arms really fast, I can do that in a lot of days"

Walking...

So it is official...Kamdyn is walking more than crawling. She walks all over the place. Still falls down on her bum every so often, but really is a walker. So basically 14 months and she has it! So Troy walks into the toy room earlier this evening and says to me...our last crawler is done. I said I know and just stood there watching her. It made me sad. A great milestone in her life as well as in ours too, I guess. On to tackle bigger and more advanced challenges now. No video for this one...not today at least. Gotta love this whole milestone more before I can proudly post a video of her.

Daily Discussions in my life

Mom: Kamdyn do you want some toast for lunch?
Mom: Ok, I'll get you some food.
Matthew: I want some toast too, Mom.
Mom: Ok Matthew. Butter or Peanutbutter?
Matthew: Actually, mom, I want Michael Phelps cereal!

What? Ok...this all comes from seeing and purchasing the box of Corn Flakes with Michael Phelps' picture all over it...free poster offer etc. So now Corn Flakes has been renamed by Matthew as Michael Phelps cereal.

Seeing is believing...here is the belief!

More stepping

This means I want whatever she is looking at, or help me, or pick me up...pretty much anything!!

This is today!

Step by Step

This was taken on Sunday, November 2nd! She's getting better and better. We've decided that she fully can walk...but chooses to only when she wants to and on her own terms! Not like anyone else we all know!!

Matthew's Gift for Daddy

So Matthew asked me if he could hammer. I got him hooked up...and came back to find this...he said he was making it for Daddy, that it would make Daddy happy!!! So Daddy here you go...from your son! Random gifts, show true love!

Pumpkin Heads

Pumpkin Carving

Boo!!!

Halloween time brings fun and excitment to our home. Costume choices always seem to be the big topic of discussion. Matthew and Andrew were the only ones that didn't change their minds about who they wanted to be. All had a great time and looked 'fantastic'!!
